This is an English translation of the Bulgarian Privacy policy. If the two versions differ, the Bulgarian version prevails.
1. Who processes your data
The site Sawasdee BG (sawasdeebg.com) is a public site made by people who live in Thailand, for the Bulgarians who visit it. The controller of the personal data is Sawasdee BG, a project of a private individual (not a registered company). For anything about your data, write to mishenkaco@gmail.com.
We process personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. In short
- You need no account to read the site, and we ask you for no data.
- We have no ads, ad networks or tracking pixels. We do not sell personal data.
- You give us data only if you fill in a form yourself (course application, translation enquiry, feedback) or write to us.
3. When you browse the site
The site is served by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. As with any website, every time a page is opened the provider processes technical data without which the page cannot be sent to you and protected: IP address, browser type, the address opened and the time.
The site’s fonts and code come from our own domain. On the Weather and Money pages your browser reads the current forecast and exchange rate from our database at Supabase. We fetch the weather and rate data themselves from our server, not from your browser.
4. Statistics, cookies and local storage
We use no statistics tools. We set no cookies on the public pages.
Apart from what is listed here, we use no other cookies on the public pages and store nothing in your browser.
5. Thai course application
What we collect: the course, format and currency you chose; for “Your own group” — the number of participants and the first names of the others, with no other data about them; your preferred and backup days and time; how flexible you are; the month of your trip (Traveller Thai only, optional); your level; your motivation and goals; notes; your preferred payment method; name, e-mail and phone (optional); the confirmations you ticked, and when; the page you came from.
Why: to review the application, to contact you about places, conditions and payment, and, if we agree, to organise the course.
Where it goes: it is stored in our database at Supabase. A copy of the application is sent to us by e-mail through Resend to our mailbox (mishenkaco@gmail.com, Gmail). Only Sawasdee BG sees it, in the site’s closed admin panel.
Application code: after sending, you get a code (e.g. ABCD-2345). Give it if you want the application deleted.
Retention: We keep them for as long as they are needed for the application and for the course or service that follows, and after that for as long as the law requires (e.g. for accounting records). You can ask for deletion at any time with the application code.
6. Interpreting or written translation enquiry
What we collect: the type of service (interpreting or written translation); the languages; whether it is in person or online; the place; the requested date and time and the duration (for interpreting); the deadline and length (for written translation); the urgency; the description and additional information; the context, if you chose one (healthcare, business or institution); name, e-mail and phone (optional); the confirmations and when; the page you came from.
Describe only as much as we need to assess the enquiry. You do not need to share health or other sensitive details.
Why, where and code: as for the course application (section 5): to answer and to agree the service. The data is kept at Supabase, a copy goes by e-mail through Resend to our Gmail mailbox, and you get a code for deletion.

7. Feedback
The feedback form needs no account and everything in it is optional. You can leave an e-mail. If you do, it is kept together with your answers and used only to reply to you on that matter. The answers are kept in our database at Supabase and are not sent by e-mail.
The answer is not linked to an account, so when you send it you get a short code. Give it if you want the answer deleted, because only the code identifies it.
Feedback is kept for 24 months and then deleted automatically.
8. Protecting the forms
So that the forms are not flooded, we keep with every submission a one-way hash of your IP address with a secret addition, not the address itself. The hash is kept as long as the submission itself. We cannot see the IP address from it.
9. When you write to us or call
If you write to us by e-mail, your message is in our Gmail mailbox and we use it to reply to you. If you write to us on Facebook, Meta’s rules also apply. We keep them for as long as they are needed to reply to you and for the course or service that follows, and after that for as long as the law requires (e.g. for accounting records). You can ask for deletion at any time.
10. Affiliate links and external sites
Some links lead to partners’ sites (e.g. for flights and hotels). When you click such a link, you go to their site, and its terms and privacy policy apply there. Details: Affiliate links.
11. Who else processes data on our behalf
We work with these providers. Each processes the data only for its own service:

13. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to mishenkaco@gmail.com. If the request concerns an application, enquiry or feedback, give its code. We answer GDPR requests within 30 days.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (KZLD), the Bulgarian supervisory authority.
14. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the version and date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so with a notice on the site.
